Lasamuel Davis will only be a sophomore this fall, but he has already gotten the attention of college coaches.
“I have offers from UCLA, Clemson, and South Carolina,” he said. “I was offered by UCLA back in January, and then Clemson and South Carolina offered me right before we got out of school for the summer.”
The 6-foot-4,205 defensive end is also attracting interest from other schools.
“I have heard from North Carolina, Vanderbilt, Auburn,” said Davis. “I also camped at Alabama earlier this summer and got an award.”
Despite all the early interest, no school is standing out for Davis.
“I don’t have any favorite schools,” he said. “I am wide open right now.”
Davis knows his strengths as a player, but also knows there are areas where he can continue to improve.
“I get off the ball quickly, have good technique, and find the ball,” he said. “In the offseason, I have still been working on my technique.”
The 2015 prospect is focused on his sophomore season.
“I just want to go hard every play, play team ball, and just work hard all the time,” he said.
Davis bench presses 240 pounds, squats 260, and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.7 seconds.
