"It feels good to have my decision made," said Melvin Vaughn. "Now, I can go into my senior season fully focused and already know what school I am going to afterwards."
The 6-foot-2,220-pound prospect knew Old Dominion was the place for him.
"I like ODU a lot...a whole lot," he said. "It is also close to home. I have been there a few times and toured the campus. It already feels like home."
There is a lot that Vaughn likes about the Monarchs.
"I like that they run a spread offense and that they throw the ball a lot," he said. "I also have a strong relationship with Coach (Dealton) Cotton – my recruiting coach. He is always telling me a lot about the academics and football programs."
So is Vaughn completely done with recruiting?
"I am done," said Vaughn. "Mail comes to the school and I don't even go pick it up anymore. It just feels good. Now, I can just get out there and be a leader and focus on winning another state title."
