Munger "Not Close" To Deciding
Donovan Munger is one of Ohio's top uncommitted recruits, and the four-star prospect from Shaker Heights impressed at Ohio State's recent Friday Night Lights camp. Munger, 6-foot-4, 300-pounds, worked out at defensive tackle, the position Ohio State is recruiting him to play. He spent several minutes working with defensive line coach Mike Vrabel in position drills. "Coach Vrabel is intense, and he wants the best out of his players," Munger stated. "The Ohio State coaches were great and they told me some things I can work on to be more successful. Things like my initial punch and my initial two steps, those were things we worked on. Things were very intense down on the field, and I loved it." With a great offer list, Munger is high on the board for several schools, including Ohio State. He insists he is not close to a decision. "I'm not really sure when I might make my decision, and I'm not really close," Munger explained after the camp. "I want to focus on what's important for me and my family from this point forward. I just want to make sure of what I'm doing for me and my family." "The coaches and I did talk a little about recruiting and how much they want me to be a Buckeye," he added. "My mom needs to get on-board, and that means a lot to me. I'd like to make my decision before the season, but we will see how that goes. I'm not trying to play any games, and I just want to make the right choice. I'm not sure if I will take any other visits or not. I'm down to schools like Ohio State, Tennessee, Michigan State, even though I've never been there (Michigan State) before. My goal is to have my choice done before the season, but I can't be sure that will happen." Munger holds nearly 20 scholarship offers, including Auburn, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Notre Dame, Penn State and West Virginia.
