Louisiana 2014 Watch List

Has over 100 scholarship offers and should be a lock for five-star status, according to National Recruiting Analyst Chad Simmons. Fournette can do it all. He's quite simply the complete package at running back, although some feel he'll switch to linebacker in college. Possesses the speed to run past defenders and won't hesitate to lower his shoulder and punish a would-be tackler.
LSU and
Alabama are believed to have the lead. Soft hands catching the ball out of the backfield. Got dinged up early last year but quickly returned to form. Did a lot of damage with the zone read over the past two seasons. Has a new head coach in Cyril Crutchfield, who takes over for David Johnson (now at
Tulane).
Louisiana 2014 Watch List

Jones has incredible size for a young corner. He did phenomenal work last year against a bevy of top receivers, including
Cameron Sims (Ouachita),
Travin Dural (Breaux Bridge),
Kent Shelby (Archbishop Shaw), Jetavious Wilson (Bastrop),
Jarrell Bennett (Edna Karr) and
Jared Johnson (Minden). Jones will also play RB this year for Neville, the defending 4A state champ. He plans to stay at corner in college. Camped at LSU and Alabama. Neville teammate
John Diarse, an LSU commit, hopes Jones will follow him to Baton Rouge. Other schools of interest include
Stanford,
Oklahoma and
Oregon. All have offered.
Louisiana 2014 Watch List

Robinson has been a hot topic the past week after he decided to transfer from Ouachita to district rival West Monroe. On running plays, Robinson explodes from his stance. Has uncanny dexterity for his size, according to Ouachita head coach John Carr, who often employed Robinson to pull from his left tackle position. Amazingly, Robinson is able to get down the field on passing plays and run stride-for-stride with receivers. LSU and Alabama are believed to have the best shot at landing this behemoth, and the Tigers have to like their chances with Robinson now at West Monroe. Also camped at
Texas, which would love to have Robinson come in and learn under OT
Donald Hawkins.
Louisiana 2014 Watch List

Delivers a crushing blow when he reaches the quarterback. Fights through double teams with ease. Can play standing up or with his hand on the ground. Regularly snuffs out screen passes to his side with lateral quickness. Runs stride for stride with ballcarriers seeking to turn the corner. Older brother is
Landon Collins, the former Dutchtown and current Alabama safety. Willis lists a top four (random order) of LSU,
Florida, Alabama and
Miami.
Louisiana 2014 Watch List

Washington is one of the hottest names in the 2014 class after picking up four SEC offers in less than a week last month. LSU, Alabama,
Texas A&M and
Arkansas all extended offers to Washington, who could play tight end or wide receiver in college. Averaged nearly 25 yards per catch last year in a run-oriented offense. Westlake is switching to the spread in 2012, and Washington should catch a ton of passes from QB
Tyler Johnson. Many people believe Washington has a higher ceiling than in-state 2013 TEs
Standish Dobard and
Desean Smith. He's also a top-flight basketball player who competes with an AAU team out of Houston.
