Timber Creek Regional High (Erial, N.J.) cornerback Eric Church details why he committed to Kent State.

Timber Creek Regional High (Erial, N.J.) cornerback Eric Church received his first FBS offer at the end of June, and at the end of July he acted on it.

The 5-foot-9, 170-pound Church recently committed to Kent State, making him the fifth member of the Chargers to commit in this class to commit to an FBS school.

Church made the decision after visiting the campus.

"I just felt at home there," Church said. "It was one big happy family and I wanted to become a part of it. The people there are the type of people I wanted to be around when I'm in college. "They are all nice and respectful. Also, the coaching staff is awesome." Timber Creek four-star defensive linemen Greg Webb and Dajaun Drennon are committed to North Carolina, running back Zaire Williams is committed to West Virginia and outside linebacker Myles Nash is heading to Rutgers.
