Wingo-Reeves Picks Up No. 3
Connor Wingo-Reeves picked up offer No. 3 on Wednesday from Temple. "My (high school) coach texted me and said Coach (Frank) Leonard called him and told him they were going to offer," he said. So, I called Coach Leonard that night and that's when they offered me. They want me to play a hybrid linebacker-defensive end position." The 6-foot-3, 225-pound prospect also has offers from Navy and William & Mary, but the offer from the Owls certainly made an impression. "I was really excited," he said. "It's definitely a big offer for me. I really liked the school and all the coaches when I went up there. So, I'm just going to discuss it with my family." There are several things about Temple that appeal to him, but Head Coach Steve Addazio has really impressed him. "They are a really good program and a really good academic school also," he said. "They just seem to be a good fit. I really like how the head coach runs his program. He's not like a lot of other coaches – he doesn't put up with anything. He just seems to be a really down to earth guy and it would be hard not to love playing for him. I just feel like he has a really good thing going up there and all the coaches have made me feel right at home. " Although it is not done deal, Wingo-Reeves recruitment may be coming to a close. "I'd say I'm pretty close to making a decision, but I'm going to talk it over with my family," he said. "Then, I will know for sure." Wingo-Reeves camped at numerous schools this summer and performed well. Boston College and Virginia Tech told him that they wanted to see a couple of game films from his senior season. But for now, the Owls are in the driver seat.
