Bir talking with Ivy League, others
As Blake Bir prepares for his senior season, there are still many schools checking him out. But Bir also had chance to do his own "checking" this summer. Covington Catholic quarterback Blake Bir is one of the sleeper prospects in Kentucky. The senior signal caller was a force for CovCath throwing for 2429 yards and 28 touchdowns as a junior. A number of schools have reached out to him, but he also took some trips of his own this summer. "Blake had a busy June and July, visiting Princeton, Brown, Cornell, Holy Cross, Georgetown, Bowling Green and Butler," said Anthony Bir, Blake's father. "These schools are waiting to see how the first couple of games go for Blake before making a decision (on an offer)," he said. Bir scored a 28 on his ACT, so he's got the academic credentials to go with his on the field abilities. The elder indicated that Butler and the Ivy League programs are very interested in his son. And with good reason. Bir was named by the Cincinnati Enquirer as one of the Top 50 seniors in the metropolitan Cincinnati area. FOX Sports Next will keep you posted on Blake Bir.
