When looking at tracking sophomore prospects ready to make their first varsity appearances this week, one to keep an eye on is Cincinnati Colerain tight end George Brown.
Standing 6-foot-5 and weighing 240-pounds ensures Brown will pass the look test with ease, and he has grabbed the starting tight end position at Colerain with an impressive pre-season camp.
As the younger brother of former Cincinnati Princeton and Virginia Tech offensive tackle Aaron Brown, it's evident the young man has the bloodlines to succeed. He is also an accomplished basketball player, and figures to be recruited for that sport as well.
Brown is already hearing from several top BCS schools and reports an early favorite list of Ohio State, Michigan State, LSU, Virgina Tech and Auburn. Although playing tight end now, Brown more than likely projects as an offensive tackle at the next level.
Colerain will open play this Saturday against Pickerington Central at Nippert Stadium, in the Skyline Chili Crosstown Showdown. FoxSportsNext will be on hand all weekend covering all the action.
