Last week, two of those offers came on back-to-back days.
"The N.C. State offer came last week – on Friday," he said. "Then Penn State came the Saturday morning. That really shocked me. I think Maryland could probably be the next to offer. If not Maryland, then I think probably Texas Tech.
The C.D. Hylton (Woodbridge, Va.) offensive lineman is looking at each school carefully.
"I don't really necessarily have a favorite," Wright said. "I just have a lot of things to think about. I'm still evaluating all the schools in every category, but I will be making a decision soon."
With football season days away, the 6-foot-6, 270-pound Wright is already looking forward to taking some college visits.
"I'm definitely going to take an official visit down to North Carolina State because I've never been there before, so that's the first one on my list," he said. "If I can fit any other official visits in, I will probably go back to UConn and maybe take an official to Maryland. Cincinnati is still recruiting me, so I might take an official there, too. I'm going to take my officials before I make my decision."
For now, Wright's main focus is his senior season.
"Team goals – win a state championship," said Wright. "If that goal is not reached, I just want to end on a positive, not a negative. Individual Goals – I always want to get stronger, faster, and do big things in the weight room to enhance my play on the field. I also want to get good grades and just enjoy my last year of high school. I just want to make sure I'm prepared for college academic-wise.
C.D. Hylton opens their season on August 31 against Battlefield.
