There were some great performances in the first full week of the high school football season, too numerous to list them all, but here are 11, a starting lineup in the Midwest if you will, of the very best.

Jalin Marshall - Middletown (Ohio)
The Ohio State commit rushed for 322 yards and three touchdowns on 23 carries and passed for one more, but his Middletown team lost to Colerain. Still, Marshall showed he he's considered the top player in Ohio, and one of the best in the country.

James Quick - Louisville Trinity (Ky.)
Trinity, the nation's top team, had a tough time with Montgomery Bell (Tenn.) escaping with a 27-23 victory. Quick, a five-star receiver was monumental in the win, catching ten passes for 246 yards and touchdowns of 77 and 78 yards to lead the victory..

Damon Webb - Detroit Cass Tech (Mich.)
On a team full of BCS recruits, Webb, a junior, stole the show. He had two touchdown receptions, two forced fumbles, one that he recovered, and an interception which thwarted a late Brother Rice drive to help seal the 25-18 Cass victory.

DeVeon Smith - Warren Howland (Ohio)
The Michigan commit ran through, around and past Lakeside with several highlight reel runs on his way to 311 yards and three touchdowns in a 43-16 victory for Howland.

Jaylon Brown - St. Clairsville (Ohio)
The junior running back and defensive back was all over the field as St. Clairsville defeated Wheeling Park 47-27. Bown rushed for 149 yards and four touchdowns and had a pick six. STC has two BCS commits on their team, and Brown may end up joining them.

Mikale Wilbon - Chicago DeLaSalle (Ill.)
Wilbon, a junior running back currently holding an offer from Purdue, had a big start to the season, carrying it 16 times fo 327 yards and four touchdowns, including scoring runs of 86 and 56 yards. We've heard more offers could come this season, and if he keeps this up, it looks like they will.

Miguel Hermosillo - Ottawa (Ill.)
The Illinois commit set a school record rushing for 352 yards and five touchdowns on just nine carries. He broke long touchdown runs of 91 and 90 yards as part of that 49-0 win over Yorkville.

Larry Scott - Hubbard (Ohio)
Considered by some as the top sophomore in the state, Scott scored on every carry he had, rushing for 201 yards and five touchdowns on five attempts. He also returned a punt for a touchdown. With his size (6'1, 215) and ability, expect some early offers to come his way.

Laquon Treadwell - Crete-Monee (Ill.)
One of the top receivers in the country, Treadwell showed why he's so highly regarded, catching six passes for 155 yards and a highlight reel touchdown where he jumped over two defenders, broke a tackle and scored, in a 38-7 win for the Warriors.

Gerald Holmes - Flint Carman Ainsworth (Mich.)
Holmes, a Michigan State commit who was hurt for much of last year, came back in a big way rushing for 162 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries in a huge upset victory over Grand Blanc, the third ranked team in the state.

Aaron Bailey - Bolingbrook (Ill.)
Bailey, an Illinois verbal, had 253 total yards and four touchdowns as Bolingbrook defeated Plainfield South. We all knew Bailey could run too, but he was efficient as a passer, completing four of six passes and a 32 yard touchdown pass while living up to his 4-star billing.
