Ole Miss Commitment Stats
**QB Devante Kincade and number two nationally ranked Skyline
(TX) kicked off their season against Woodlands (TX) Friday. Devante did not
disappoint as he led their team to a 42-28 win. Devante had 298 passing yards
and 4 passing TD's while also rushing for 98 yards and scoring two rushing TD's.
Skyline was behind 28-21 going into the 4th quarter and Kincade lead them back
to a victory. In the 4th quarter he tied the game with a TD pass of 24 yards
and then scored the go-ahead TD on a 59 yd run. Devante iced the game with a
9 yard run.
The nation's #12 ranked quarterback was a terror on the field last season as
he passed for 3,270 yards and 37 touchdowns while also chipping in another 857
rushing yards and 17 TD's on his way to All-State honors.
**RB Mark Dodson and Whitehaven (Tenn) ventured off to Missouri
to face East. St. Louis this past Friday. Dodson led his team to victory, once
again, as they won 26-6. Mark rushed the ball 26 times for 164 yards and 2 TD's.
Whitehaven is now 3-0 on the season and Scout.com's #43 rated tailback has rushed
for 469 yards and 3 TD's through three games. Last season Mark rushed for over
2, 100 yards and 28 TD's. He was named 1st Team All-State for his own the field
accomplishments. Dodson is expected to enroll at Ole Miss in December.
**RB Peyton Barber and Milton (GA) kicked off their season
Friday against their cross-town rival and the nation's #8 ranked team in Alpharetta
(GA). Scout.com's #60 rated tailback rushed for 225 yards and 2 TD's in their
35-28 win. The bruising 230-pound back had over 900 rushing yards his sophomore
campaign before breaking his foot in game three his junior season. He missed
the remainder of the '11 campaign.
**Canton (MS) and Daronte Bouldin lost to the state's new number
one ranked team, Meridian, last Friday. The Dandy Dozen lineman did his share
as he had 9 pancakes and 7 crackback blocks against the Wildcats. For the season
scout.com's #62 ranked offensive tackle has an eye popping 29 pancakes and 27
crackback blocks through three games.
Canton (2-1) looks to rebound when they face Crystal Springs Friday.
**Gadsden City (AL) and Finesse Middleton opened their season
against Florence (AL) Friday. Gadsden City won by the score of 30-28 in a thriller.
The 6' 1", 250-pound hybrid defensive end had 7 tackles, 3 for losses,
1 sack, and blocked a critical punt late in the 4th quarter to set them up for
the winning score.
Middleton had 45 tackles and 10 sacks as a junior manning the defensive tackle
position. His season was cut short by a foot injury in the middle of the season
but he did return for the playoffs. Middleton is expected to enroll at Ole Miss
in December.
**Champagnat Catholic (Hialeah, FL) and S Charles Williams defeated
Pines Charter 40-0 Friday in their season opener. Scout.com's #52 rated safety
is also their starting quarterback and he rushed for 115 yards and 2 TD's in
the game. He also collected 5 solo tackles on defense.
Last season the 6' 2", 180-pound two-way player had 48 tackles and 4 interceptions
but did most of his damage on the offensive side of the ball as he had over
2,100 yards of offense and 21 TD's.

**TE Evan Engram and Hillgrove (GA) lost a
tough contest to Lassiter 37-29 Friday. Evan did his part as he had 4 catches
for 128 yards and 1 TD in the contest. He now has 7 receptions for 168 yards
and 1 TD through two games.
Scout.com's #22 nationally rated tight end had 20 receptions for 500 yards
and 6 TD's as a junior.
**Derrick Jones led Eupora (now 3-0) to a 22-13 win over Winona
Friday. In the contest Derrick had 5 catches for 51 yards and also had a 85-yard
punt return for a TD. Through three games of action Jones has 21 catches for
346 yards and 6 TD's. He also has chipped in a 95 yard kickoff and a 85 yard
punt return for TD's.
**Hinds CC and CB Zach Witchett opened their season with a
42-21 win over Mississippi Delta Saturday. The 3-Star CB recorded 2 pass breakups
and 3 tackles in the contest. The former Georgia signee led the Bulldogs in
pass defense last season with 5 interceptions and 9 pass breakups. The 6' 1
1/2, 197-pound corner possesses 4.37 speed and is one of the more gifted athletes
Ole Miss has committed.
**Zach's teammate, WR Quadarius
Mireles, was also a factor in Hinds CC's 42-21 win over MS Delta
CC Saturday. He caught a 46-yard TD to put Hinds up 10-6 The '10 Ole Miss signee
had a breakout freshman season for the Bulldogs last season as he had 45 catches
for 693 yards, 10 rushes for 110 yards, and 5 TD's.
Hinds has a quick turnaround, as the Eagles will welcome Coahoma CC to Raymond
Thursday night for the second game of the season.
The 5' 11", 180-pound receiver is expected to enroll at Ole Miss in December.
**Grenada (MS) came off of an open weekend and walloped the visiting Kosciusko
Whippets football team by a count of 35-0 in Friday's non-league bout. They
lost a heartbreaking match-up against Oxford (28-22) in the opening game of
the season. Their star two-way player, Trey Bledsoe, broke
his collarbone in two-a-days and but is expected to return against Charleston
Friday.
Last season the 6' 2", 190-pound receiver caught 27 passes for 440 yards
and 7 TD's. While manning the safety position he posted 40 tackles and 5 interceptions.
**Colquitt County (GA) and CB/RB Bobby Hill rebounded with
a 35-33 thriller over Thomas County Central Friday. The Ole Miss commit was
the star of the game as he had 13 catches for 150 yards and 2 TD's. No catch
was bigger than the game winner late in the 4th quarter. Bobby extended between
two defenders and made a one handed acrobatic catch to put his team up for good.
Last season the 6' 0", 165-pound athlete had 13 catches for 278 yards and
6 TD's. On the defensive side of the ball, where he is projected to play at
Ole Miss, he intercepted five passes.
**DT Herbert Moore and Memphis East (1-2) rebounded with an
impressive 38-6 win over Memphis Central. The 6' 2", 320-pound defensive
tackle had 5 solo tackles, 2 assisted tackles, and recovered a fumble in the
contest. Moore has been a great start to his senior season. He has 20 tackles,
four tackles for losses, two sacks, one batted down ball, two fumble recoveries,
and one defensive touchdown on the season through three games.
Scout.com's #66 rated defensive tackle had 46 tackles and 8 sacks as a junior.
**Arguably the nation's most sought after junior college defensive tackle, Marquel Combs, kicked off his sophomore campaign in fine fashion for LA Pierce
CC Saturday as they defeated Victor Valley (CA) by the score of 42-26.
The Memphis native blocked a field goal and had three tackles for losses in
the contest. His freshman campaign Marquel had 34 solo tackles, 10 tackles for
losses, 2.5 sacks, 1.0 pass deflection, and 2.0 blocked punts.
The 6' 3", 325-pound lineman was named 1st Team All-Conference for his
play.
4-Star QB Ryan Buchanan and Jackson Prep are off to a 3-0 start
in large part from the play of their Dandy Dozen signal caller. They dismantled
Class 3A's number five ranked team, Forest, by the score of 52-16. The 6' 4",
210-quarterback was 7-10 for 111 yards and 3 TD's in the contest.
Through three games of action the Dandy Dozen selection is 19-30 for 435 yards
and 9 TD's.
Prep faces Copiah Academy Friday.
**Carver (LA) and RB Eugene Brazley had their contest canceled
against O. Perry Walker Friday due to Hurricane Issac. They have only played one
game this season and that was a disappointing 14-12 loss to Franklinton. Carver
was without their starting quarterback in the contest and Brazley only touched
the ball three times for 28 yards.
Last season Eugene was one of the top playmakers in the Big Easy as he had over
1, 800 yards of offense and 24 TD's.
**Byhalia (MS) (1-2) and Davion Johnson loss a tough game against
Olive Branch Center Hill by the score of 13-7. Scout.com's #32 rated offensive
tackle had 7 pancakes in the game. The Dandy Dozen offensive tackle has totaled
19 pancake blocks through three games.
Last season the 6' 5", 325-pound left tackle was named 1st Team All-State.
**WR Dannon
Cavil and Madison (TX) opened their season Saturday with a 41-21
loss to Steele (TX). The 6' 4", 205-pound receiver had one reception for
8 yards and chipped in 50 return yards in kickoffs. Scout.com's #123 ranked receiver
had 27 catches for 565 yards and 8 TD's his sophomore campaign for Lake Travis
(TX).
He transferred to Madison after his sophomore campaign but tore his hamstring
and missed the entire regular season as a junior. He did return in the playoffs
and recorded 68 yards receiving and returned two kickoffs for 110 yards.
Dannon transferred moved from Memphis (TN) to Texas after his freshman campaign.
He is expected to enroll at Ole Miss in December.
