2013 Intro: Tyrian Taylor

His teammates say he's underrated. He thinks he's been overlooked. 2013 wide receiver Tyrian Taylor has no offers and little interest, but he's hoping that changes this fall. The Jones (Orlando, FL) athlete had 125-yards receiving on 6 carries in the Tigers' 40-8 win over Mainland (Daytona, FL) Friday and his teammates say that is nothing unusual.

Tyrian Taylor thinks both his attitude and physical skills make him an asset to his team.

"I stay humble and just come out and play ball," he said.

"(I have) speed, agility, I run good routes, I can catch."

The 5-foot-9, 160-pound athlete has gotten a little interest from Clemson and Middle Tennessee, but is still waiting on that first offer.

"I just think I've been overlooked," Taylor said.

"(I'm hoping for) a real good season. I've already proved myself in the two games we've played."

Taylor says his mind is completely open about schools he'd like to hear from but he thinks his build and skills fit best into a spread offense. He's hoping for a big senior season and he's off to the right start. Still, Taylor is hungry to improve.

"(I'm working on) running better routes and taking my time catching the ball and getting up field."

Florida State wide receiver commitment Kermit Whitfield and South Carolina defensive end commitment Devin Washington both said they hope their success will help bring Taylor some more exposure this fall.
