Beckman (0-2) @ Tustin (3-0)

On paper this one looks like a mismatch. Beckman is coming off of a 56-0 loss to Foothill, a team that Tustin beat earlier this season. Tustin features a host of players with scholarship offers, including the well-traveled Davonte Young. Young is on his third team in his career after having played at St. John Bosco last year, and he's just as lethal lining up for Tustin. Young claims offers from Arizona and SMU. Leading the way for Young is center David Maka (6'3/315); Maka has a host of offers including UCLA and Utah. Spearheading the defense are linebackers Edward Tandy (leaning towards Cal) and Marshawn Daniel (UNLV/Nevada).
Prediction: Tustin. Big.
Oaks Christian (3-0) @ Chaminade (3-0)

Despite the unfortunate blue field, Chaminade is home of one of the better teams in Southern California. 3-Star running back Terrell Newby leads the offense. Newby appears to be choosing between Cal, Nebraska, and Oregon.
Oaks Christian boasts a solid running attack in its own right as Class of 2015 member Darick Holmes is a small, shifty back who runs hard. But it's the aerial attack that is getting the most attention as Stanford commitment Francis Owusu put on a show with three touchdown catches last week, while UCLA commitment Cameron Judge had an interception from his linebacker spot. Receiver Chris Davis and quarterback Brandon Dawkins are two juniors who will be heaviy recruited.
Prediction: Oaks Christian adjusts quickly to the hue of the field and outscores Chaminade.
St. Francis (2-0) @ La Mirada (2-1)

St. Francis is facing a tough La Mirada squad with an unbeaten record on the line. Senior running back Daniel Kawamura has paced the rushing attack for the Golden Knights, and he will likely come in contact early and often with big (6'2/250) linebacker Koa Kaleopaa of La Mirada. Kaleopaa boast a load of offers including Arizona, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Utah, and more. Maybe the most heavily recruited player in the game is junior tight end Tyler Luatua for La Mirada. He has offers from across the country including Alabama, USC, Ohio State, and Notre Dame among others.
Prediction: In another tight contest, La Mirada wears down St. Francis and pulls out a close win.
Carson (0-3) @ Santa Margarita (3-0)

Carson is half way through a murderous opening schedule that has saw the Colts lose 48-13 last week to Mater Dei. This week, Carson gets Santa Margarita, and , Corona Centennial and Narbonne afterwards. Forget winning, Carson's goal should be to get through September with enough healthy, motivated bodies to field a team in October.
Santa Margarita is loaded, and worse for Carson, they're a strong, power running team that can demoralize an opponent. Quarterback Johnny Stanton is committed to Nebraska and will likely be bigger than nearly all of Carson's defenders at 6'3/230. Center Dan Crane (6'2/295) is headed to Washington and tackle Riley Sorenson (6'4/320) has a solid list of schools after him. The defense is led by Connor O'Brien at safety who is also headed to Washington.
Prediction: Pain. Santa Margarita can name their score in this one.
