It was only a matter of time before Sam Bruce had his first official offer and that day was today…
Freshman To Watch: Sam Bruce
Fort Lauderdale University School has one of the top wide receiver groups in America, with four players holding Division-I offers, including four-star Jordan Cunningham. Freshman wideout Sam Bruce doesn't hold any offers yet, but he is getting regular playing time in his first season of varsity football. Bruce, 5-foot-8, 165-pounds, is the nephew of former NFL great Isaac Bruce. "It's been great playing varsity football for the first time, and especially for a great team," Bruce stated. "It was great playing on ESPN for our first game, and playing well. My uncle wished me good luck, and said he knew I would get the job done." "My speed is the best part of my game and I feel I can run with anyone out there," he added. "I need to work on being a better route-runner and getting stronger in the weight room, because I definitely want to play college football some day." Although college recruiting is a ways off for the freshman, Bruce has a few schools he would love to hear from. "My favorite school is Oregon, and I just love their offense," he admitted. "They use their playmakers so well, getting everybody the ball in space. I also like Florida State a lot, and love their style also."
