Rank (prev)

1 (1)
Manatee logo
Manatee (3-0) Bradenton, FL

The nation's No. 1 team took care of business against No. 24 Miami Central who had just knocked off Booker T. Washington the week prior. Southeast is no pushover, but should be an easier game for the Hurricanes.

Last: Def No. 24 Miami Central 44-34
: 9/28
@ Southeast (2-1)
2 (5)
Santa Margarita Logo
Santa Margarita (4-0) Rancho Santa Margarita, CA

The Eagles left their starters in for an extended period during a 72-0 romp of hapless Carson figuring they'd need the extra prep in their showdown this week with St. Bonaventure.

Last: Def Carson 72-0
: 9/21 St. Bonaventure (4-0)
3 (6)
John Curtis Christian Logo
John Curtis (3-0) River Ridge, LA

There was no letdown after Curtis' big game against Plant two weeks ago. The Patriots took care of business against an always talented East St. John team and get a bit of a breather this week against Cohen.

Last: Def East St. John 34-7
Next: 9/20 Cohen (0-2)
4 (4)
Louisville Trinity Logo
Trinity (4-0) Louisville, KY

Trinity pulled off a big win against St. Xavier of Cincinnati, but the Shamrocks cannot afford to take Indianapolis Cathedral lightly. Despite the 2-3 record, Cathedral remains a dangerous opponent.

Last: Def St. Xavier (OH) 14-13
: 9/21
@ Indianapolis Cathedral (2-3)
5 (7)
Bellevue Logo
Bellevue (3-0) Bellevue, WA

Sammamish wasn't much of a match for Bellevue; Lake Washington shouldn't be either.

Last: Def Sammamish 69-0
Next: 9/21
Lake Washington (2-1)
6 (9)
Archbishop Moeller Logo
Archbishop Moeller (4-0) Cincinnati, OH

Looking ahead maybe? Moeller took on the weaker of the two St. Xavier's on its schedule and pulled off a seven point win. Play like that against Cincinnati's squad, and Moeller will get upset.

Last: Def St. Xavier (KY) 34-27
: 9/21 @ St. Xavier (OH) (2-2)
7 (13)
Katy Logo
Katy (3-0) Katy, TX

The Woodlands was supposed to be a test for Katy, or maybe Dallas Skyline wasn't the team we thought it was. Either way, this was an impressive showing from the Tigers.

Last: Def The Woodlands 63-10
Next: 9/27 Morton Ranch (3-0)
8 (12)
Byrnes Logo
Byrnes (4-0) Duncan, SC

Clinton wasn't expected to be much of a challenge for Byrnes, and they weren't. Boling Springs should be a tougher opponent, but the Rebels should roll.

Last: Def Clinton 41-0
: 9/21
Boling Springs 3-1
9 (10)
Lake Travis Logo
Lake Travis (2-0) Austin, TX

Lake Travis got more than it bargained for against Round Rock Westwood, but the Cavaliers avoided becoming the fourth team in the Top 10 to go down last week.

Last: Def Round Rock Westwood 28-24
Next: 9/21 A&M Consolidated (2-1)
10 (14)
Vista Murrieta Logo
Vista Murrieta (3-0) Murrieta, CA

Redland East Valley was a team expected to challenge Vista Murrieta. The Broncos made a mockery of that idea. Cathedral Catholic is a good team; Vista Murrieta is a great one.

Last: Def Redlands East Valley 59-14
Next: 9/21 Cathedral Catholic (2-1)
11 (15)
St. Ignatius Logo
St. Ignatius (4-0) Cleveland, OH

St. Ignatius is doing its tour through Pennsylvania this month, and last week's victim was Strong Vincent. McDowell is a stronger opponent, but not up to St. Ignatius' standards.

Last: Def Strong Vincent (PA) 40-0
: 9/
21 @ McDowell (PA) (2-1)
12 (NR)
Bergen Catholic Logo
Bergen Catholic (2-0) Oradell, NJ

We were late to the party on Bergen Catholic; call us believers now. Bishop Gorman was one of the best teams we'd seen this year, but that defense let them down against the visitors from New Jersey. Bergen Catholic needs to be on its toes against a good St. Joseph squad.

Last: Def No. 8 Bishop Gorman 42-35
Next: 9/22 St. Joseph Regional (1-1)
13 (19)
DeSoto Logo
DeSoto (3-0) DeSoto, TX

Euless Trinity's early schedule that included trips to No. 5 Bellevue and No. 40 Union caught up against an Eagle team that is flying high.

Last: Def No. 25 Euless Trinity 42-21
Next: 9/21 Cedar Hill (1-2)
14 (20)
University School Logo Ft. Lauderdale
University (4-0) Ft. Lauderdale

Maybe the home loss to St. Joseph's prep should have given us a better indication, but no one could have predicted Cocoa getting blown out like this against University. What performance.

Last: Def Cocoa 49-3
Next: 9/21 @ Treasure Coast (2-1)
15 (11)
De La Salle Logo
De La Salle (3-0) Concord, CA

De La Salle got a battle from St. Mary's; maybe a tougher battle than most were expecting. Unfortunately, De La Salle's regular season schedule won't provide them with many more tests.

Last: Def St. Mary's 21-13
Next: 9/21 @ Granada (3-0)
16 (16)
Allen Logo
Allen (3-0) Allen

Allen cruised against Richardson, but their game against Hebron will have the Eagles' full attention.

Last: Def Richardson 52-17
Next: 9/21 Hebron (2-1)
17 (26)
Butler Bulldogs Logo
Butler (4-0) Matthews, NC

I'm trying to find someone on Butler's schedule who can keep it within three scores, 10/5 at Ardrey Kell maybe? Rocky River likely won't.

Last: Def Myers Park 49-6
Next: 9/21 Rocky River (4-1)
18 (8)
Bishop Gorman Logo
Bishop Gorman (2-1) Las Vegas, NV

Bishop Gorman's defensive concerns were exposed by visiting Bergen Catholic, becoming only the second team to beat the Gaels on their home field. Battle with struggling Servite doesn't have the same pizazz as year's past.

Last: Lost to Bergen Catholic (N.J.) 42-35
: 9/21
@ Servite (CA) (1-2)
19 (17)
Good Counsel Logo
Good Counsel (3-1) Olney, MD

Good Counsel has gotten through the hardest part of its schedule and should cruise the rest of the way.

Last: Def Woodson 49-0
: 9/2
2 @ Gonzaga (2-1)
20 (18)
Lincoln Logo
Lincoln (2-0) Tallahassee, FL

Lincoln got up on the Seminoles early before easing up and letting the game look closer than it was.

Last: Def Florida State Univ. 42-30
Next: 9/21 Chiles (1-2)
21 (35)
North Allegheny Logo
North Allegheny (3-0) Wexford, PA

Another of last week's impressive performances, Seneca Valley wasn't expected to beat North Allegheny, but I don't think anyone expected a blowout of this magnitude either.

Last: Def Seneca Valley 45-3
Next: 9/21 @ Pine Richland (1-2)
22 (22)
Cibolo Steele Football Logo
Steele (3-0) Cibolo, Texas

The Knights didn't have a let up after a big win over Judson the week before. Tivy was overmatched; Westlake is too.

Last: Def Tivy 56-17
Next: 9/21 @ Westlake (1-2)
23 (23)
Don Bosco Logo
Don Bosco Prep (1-1) Ramsey, NJ

A nice bounce back game by Don Bosco Prep after losing to Gilman in its first game. Aquinas isn't what it was even just a couple of years ago, but they're still a tough team.

Last: Def St. Thomas Aquinas (FL) 20-10
Next: 9/21 @ DePaul (1-1)
24 (2)
Grayson Logo
Grayson (2-1) Loganville, GA

Had this been a Parkview team from the early 00's, this would not be a surprise, as it stands, the Panthers beating Grayson was a huge upset. The Rams remain this highly ranked by virtue of its 33-0 dismantling of Miami Central.

Last: Lost to Parkview 22-7
: 9/21
Dacula (0-3)
25 (24)
Miami Central Logo
Miami Central (1-2) Miami, FL

Manatee lost two games early last year before winning its State Championship. Miami Central could follow a similar pattern after getting through three top 10 opponents with a win. A week off is badly needed for the Rockets and Columbus could be in a heap of trouble.

Last: Lost to No. 1 Manatee 44-34
: 9/2
8 Columbus (2-1)
26 (27)
Bolingbrook Logo
Bolingbrook (4-0) Bolingbrook, IL

While not a regional powerhouse, Homewood-Flossmoor shouldn't just roll over for Bolingbrook this week.

Last: Def Joliet West 44-12
Next: 9/21 Homewood-Flossmoor (4-1)
27 (28)
McGill-Toolen Logo
McGill-Toolen (4-0) Mobile, AL

McGill-Toolen will get a battle from unbeaten Davidson.

Last: Def Theodore 62-9
Next: 9/21 @ Davidson (3-0)
28 (29)
Booker T Washington Logo
Washington (2-1) Miami, FL

Booker T. Washington took care of business after losing a heartbreaker to Miami Central two weeks ago by beating a good Cedar Hill team. Jones from Orlando is no pushover.

Last: Def Cedar Hill (TX) 40-21
Next: 9/22 Jones (3-0)
29 (30)
Maine South Logo
Maine South (4-0) Park Ridge, IL

Not really going on a limb saying Maine South would pound Niles North, and they should handle New Trier as well.

Last: Def Niles North 45-0
: 9/21
New Trier (2-2)
30 (NR)
Oaks Christian Logo
Oaks Christian (4-0) Westlake Village, CA

The Lions had a lot of questions coming in to the season with a new head coach, but Oaks Christian has looked tremendous this season. High scoring Crrenshaw visits this week.

Last:: Def Chaminade 44-30
Next: 9/14 Crenshaw (3-1)

31 (31)
Cass Tech Logo
Cass Tech (4-0) Detroit, MI

Cass Tech handled Cody with ease, but St. Mary's Prep will put the Technicians on the upset watch this week.

Last: Def Cody 46-20
Next: 9/21 @ St. Mary Prep (3-1)
32 (32)
Dwyer Logo
Dwyer (3-0) Palm Beach Gardens, FL

Dwyer has back to back shutouts. Against a hapless Spanish River team, the Panthers might make it three in a row.

Last: Def Seminole Ridge 39-0
Next: 9/21 Spanish River (0-3)
33 (21)
Mission Viejo Logo
Mission Viejo (4-0) Mission Viejo, CA

Mission Viejo continues to roll through its weak non-league schedule. It will continue to do so this week as well.

Last: Def La Quinta 63-14
Next: 9/21 Aliso Niguel (4-0)
34 (34)
Skyline Logo Sammamish
Skyline (3-0) Sammamish, WA

Skyline's high powered offense is hitting its stride in week three.

Last: Def Couer d'Alene 71-20
Next: 9/21 Roosevelt (2-1)
35 (36)
Camden County Logo
Camden County (4-0) Kingsland, GA

Camden County used to go through its season without much of a challenge, but in a new region, the Wildcats get a week off to prepare for the battle royale that is Region 1AAAAA in Georgia.

Last: Def Beach 48-12
Next: 9/28 @ Valdosta (2-1)
36 (37)
American Heritage Logo

American Heritage (3-0) Delray Beach, FL

Glades Central finally showed some life, but American Heritage was still too much for them.

Last: Def Glades Central 14-0
Next: 9/21 King's Academy (2-0)

37 (38)
Hoover Logo
Hoover (3-0) Hoover, AL

Hoover hasn't been tested this year, but Northridge should at least make the Bucs break a sweat before moving to 4-0.

Last: Def Jackson-Olin 50-0
: 9/21
Northridge (3-0)
38 (39)
Colerain Logo

Colerain (4-0) Cincinnati, OH

Colerain trounced Princeton, but Sycamore is a legitimate threat to knock off the Cardinals.

Last: Def Princeton 55-0
Next: 9/21 @ Sycamore (4-0)

39 (50)
Bentonville Logo
Bentonville (3-0) Bentonville, AR

South Panola may be down this year, but they didn't earn the nickname University of South Panola because they're accustomed to being blown out by five touchdowns.

Last: Def South Panola 41-6
Next: 9/21 @ Har-Ber (1-2)
40 (3)
Dallas Skyline Logo
Skyline (2-1) Dallas, TX

Like Gorman, Skyline was let down by its defense. The Raiders were giving up 30 points per game before the offense finally couldn't keep up against Bowie.

Last: Lost to Bowie 38-36
: 9/28 @ Dallas Jesuit (3-0)
41 (40)
Union Logo
Union (2-1) Tulsa, OK

Union recovered from a tight loss to Euless Trinity to beat a good Broken Arrow team. The schedule eases up moving forward after a tough first three games.

Last: Def Broken Arrow 26-21
Next: 9/21 Owasso (1-2)
42 (41)
Ensworth Logo
Ensworth (5-0) Nashville, TN

Ensworth's schedule started easy, and still hasn't provided much of a challenge for the Tigers.

Last: Def Baylor 42-17
Next: 9/21 @ Battle Ground Academy (4-1)
43 (42)
Oscar Smith Logo
Oscar Smith (2-1) Chesapeake, VA

Indian River didn't provide much of a challenge for Oscar Smith, and it's hard to find too many teams left on the schedule who will.

Last: Def Indian River 42-6
: 9/21 @ Nansemond River (1-2)
44 (43)
Armwood Logo
Armwood (2-1) Seffner, FL

Armwood was beaten two weeks ago by American Heritage, but Tampa Bay Tech proved less of a challenge. A trip to Leto should be a good chance to get some young players some playing time.

Last: Def Tampa Bay Tech 30-0
9/21 @ Tampa Bay Tech (2-0)
45 (45)
Southlake Carroll Logo
Carroll (2-1) Southlake, TX

Carroll was ambushed by Allen in week one but the Dragons have since outscored their opponents 97-3.

Last: Def Temple 34-0
: 9/2
8 @ Keller Central (2-1)
46 (46)
Gilman Logo
Gilman (2-2) Baltimore, MD

After opening with Moeller, Good Counsel, and Don Bosco, Charlotte Christian felt like a scrimmage.

Last: Def Charlotte Christian 37-14
Next: 9/29 @ Mount St. Joseph (2-1)
47 (47)
Gateway Logo
Gateway (3-0) Monroeville, PA

Gateway should cruise into its 10/5 showdown with North Allegheny.

Last: Def Kiski Area 55-14
Next: 9/21 Altoona (1-2)
48 (48)
Olive Branch Logo

Olive Branch (4-0) Olive Branch, MS

Olive Branch handled the always good Memphis University team, and will get another challenge from Southaven.

Last: Def Memphis University 43-33
Next: 9/21 @ Southaven (3-1)

49 (49)
Goose Creek Logo
Goose Creek (4-0) Goose Creek, SC

Goose Creek has been blowing the doors off of its competition, and Fort Dorchester was no match.

Last: Def Fort Dorchester 56-14
Next: 9/21 @ Dutch Fork (2-2)
50 (NR)
Mesquite Logo
Mesquite (3-0) Mesquite, TX

A 3-0 start including a win over Bowie has earned Mesquite a place in the Top 50.

Last: Def Naaman Forest 37-14
Next: 9/21 @ Plano West (2-1)

In - Oaks Christian (CA), Bergen Catholic (NJ), Mesquite (TX)

Out - Walton (GA), Plant (FL), Euless Trinity (TX)
