At one time during the recruiting process, it was all about Kansas State.
But for many months now, Houston (TX) Nimitz running back Dre'Vian Young has been working towards getting more activity going in his recruitment.
"I had an offer from K-State (the program that his coach had stated he committed to in the off season), but I haven't heard from the coaches for a long time," Young said.
Now the 5-foot-9, 175-pound Young is just doing his thing each week and leading the squad to a 3-1 record. And even though he has averaged over 100 yards a game on the season splitting time with other backs, not much has been going on the recruiting front.
But one Pac-12 program seems to be steadily contacting him and showing lots of interest.
"Utah is the school that I am hearing the most from. I have an offer from the (Utes) coaches," Young said. "The coaches seem very interested in me. I'd like to visit the campus. I've never been."
On the year, Young has run for over 400 yards and scored six touchdowns.
