Los Angeles (Calif.) Salesian offensive lineman Christopher Gonzalez (6-4, 235), is fitting in nicely in his first season with the Mustangs.
“It’s been pretty easy to blend in and it’s been a good atmosphere here,” said Gonzalez. “It’s easy to get along with people here. It’s been a good move.”
Gonzales played at Torrance last fall, but now that he’s at Salesian, schools are taking notice, thanks to a pretty loaded roster.
“A lot of schools said they want to see my first few games on film and they’ll make a decision on offering me,” said Gonzalez. “I’m really interested in UCLA, but any school I’d go to if I had the opportunity to play. Whether it’s the Pac-12 or Mountain West, I’d play.”
Gonzalez plays tackle for Salesian, but said guard is his likely destination in college.
“I’ll probably play guard in college,” said Gonzalez. “I want to add more weight and keep my athleticism and explosion.”
Academically, Gonzalez has a 3.85 GPA and scored a 1450 on the SAT.
