Florida DE makes commitment
"I am committed to UCF," Antonio Guerad said on Thursday. "I'm a Knight and I'm so excited about it." Guerard, 6-foot-4 and 230 pounds, visited the school recently and found a lot to like. "Academically and how many recruits are they bringing in at my position," he said about the opportunity he'll have in Orlando in the coming years. Guerad, who has 33 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and three caused fumbles through five games so far this season, claimed 15 scholarship offers at the time of his commitment. Some of his other BCS offers included Syracuse, Kentucky, Iowa State, and Cincinnati. As a Prospect: The first thing that jumps out at you when watching Guerad is his size. At 6-foot-4 and 230 pounds, he has ideal size for a major college prospect at the defensive end position. He has some quality athleticism that enables him to get after the quarterback. He's definitely a player to watch, as one of the better defensive prospects in the Tampa Bay area for the 2013 class.
