Sophomore defensive back Tyree Kinnel is off to a hot start but is in no hurry for the recruiting…
Kinnel Talks Michigan Visit
Friday was a big night for Huber Heights (Ohio) Wayne defensive back Tyree Kinnel as the Warriors battled rival Centerville for a big conference win. On Saturday, Kinnel was taking his first college game day visit with Michigan. "Going to Michigan was pretty good and I liked it," Kinnel told FOXSportsNEXT.com. "Michigan is the first school I've visited and it was all good. I was able to talk with some of the other recruits and with the coaches before and after the game." Kinnel says this summer allowed him to receive early interest from the Wolverines. "I attended their camp in the summer," explained Kinnel. "I really liked their camp and learned a lot the day I was there. I've been talking with (assistant) coach (Mark) Smith since then and they said they wanted to start a relationship with me and stuff like that." While Kinnel knows it's early, he understands there is much more to learn about Michigan as a school and football program. "We didn't get a chance to go around and check out campus," said Kinnel. "We went to the stadium and got a chance to stand on the sidelines and stuff like that. I loved the atmosphere during the game. It was a little rainy, but that didn't really matter. "I'm going back up there next week for the Michigan State game to see more." FOXSportsNEXT.com will continue checking back with Kinnel as the recruiting process heats up for the 2015 prospect.
