"North Carolina was first to offer me a scholarship, then West Virginia came in and offered right after them. Both offered me back during spring practice," Blake McClain told Scout.
McCain does not know much about either school yet, but he is looking them.
"Since they offered, I have had some interest in finding out more about their programs. I just have not had a lot of time to find out too much yet."
Alabama, Florida, and Vanderbilt are showing interest in the 6-foot-4, 250 pound junior defensive end out of Jacksonville (Fla.) Sandalwood and he has visited The Swamp already this season.
"The atmosphere at Florida is incredible. The noise was loud, the fans were great, and my favorite part was being able to watch the defense. They really swarm to the ball, they play fast, and they are incredible to watch in person."
The Gators have his interest, but he has no favorite yet.
"I just haven't thought much about a leader or anything. I grew up a basketball kid, so I never had a favorite football team or anything like that, so I am just going to take the visits, see different places, and see who stands out to me."
McCain has watched his teammate Demarcus Walker (Alabama commitment) go through the process this year and he has learned a few things from the five-star defensive end.
"I have really watch how Demarcus talks to people and just how he is respectful to the coaches, media, and people like that," McCain said. "I think he has handled himself well."
McCain s thankful for the two offers he already has, but he would love to have the options Walker has this time next year.
"I am working to be the best that I can at defensive end. I play every play hard, I come off the ball fast, and I am going to keep getting better."
