2014 linebacker Brice Hamilton (Madison, Fla./Madison County) will be a highly sought after recruit in the next class. He’s already hearing from a handful of schools and two standout at this time.
“I don’t have any offers yet and I am pretty open,” Hamilton said. “Two schools I am really thinking a lot about are Alabama and Florida State. Those are my two top schools right now. FSU is like family. Geno Hayes is my cousin and it’s a place where I feel good at. With Alabama I like how they compete and win championships. I know I can get a good education at either one of those schools.”
Hamilton is hearing from the Seminoles and Crimson Tide as well as Miami, Florida, Louisville, FAU, Kentucky, Auburn, and Minnesota.
“I have been to games at FSU and Wake Forest,” Hamilton said. “I was supposed to go see the FSU/Miami game but couldn’t get down there. I know at this point I am going to the Florida/Florida State game next month.”
Hamilton, 6-foot-3 and 200-pounds, played defensive end last season before moving to outside linebacker this year.
“Moving to outside linebacker is different job but I feel like I am getting better at it each week,” Hamilton said. “I had to learn new reads and adjust to speed of that position. It’s all coming together and clicking now. That’s what I will play in college.”
