"It was a great game," Robinson
said. "I wanted to look at a lot of things, really. I was looking at those
two to see how they would play against one another. I've been to games at
Arkansas and Ole Miss this fall, but I wanted to see them play each other."
What did Scout.com's No. 32 rated outside linebacker notice?
"Both teams fought hard to the end. They never gave up, and when Arkansas
got down, they never quit playing hard until the game was over."
He committed to Arkansas over the summer. What stood out about the Hogs
to give them his commitment?
"Their coaching staff brought me in and made me feel at home. They care
about their players. They felt like I could come in there and learn the system
and have a good chance to play next year."
It looks to be a forgone conclusion that the Hogs will make a coaching change
at the end of the season. What kind of effect would such a move have on the Memphis product?
"I'm just hoping they're still going to be there. Their recruits show
me a lot of love. Their fan base keeps them in there. I'm still a Hog. If the
coaching staff does leave it won't change my decision because the fans have
shown me a lot of love. They care about their recruits at Arkansas. If I get
hurt they will take care of me after football. They also have my major, Business,
so if the staff leaves I'm still probably going to go to Arkansas."
What is the current Arkansas staff telling Robinson?
"They're telling me to not worry about that stuff if they're going to
be there or not. They're still giving me hope that they're going to be back
next year. I'm not going to lie, it's going to be hard for me to be there
next year if they're not there because I'm so close to their staff, but I
think I'm going to keep my commitment to Arkansas. I'm going to take some
official visits so I have some options if a change is made though."
Which schools will Robinson visit?
"I'm talking to LSU about taking an official visit there in December.
I'm also talking to Arkansas about taking a visit there in a couple of weeks.
I'm also talking to Ole Miss about setting up a visit in January."
What is LSU saying?
"They told me they have a couple players they're waiting on, but they
really love my speed, and want to get me down there for an official visit."
What is going on with Ole Miss?
"They tell me I would fit into their program really good. Coach Freeze
said I'd fit really good in their defensive scheme. He's behind my choice.
If I come down there he'll treat me like one of his own. I like coach Freeze
and coach (Maurice) Harris a lot. We have a good relationship. I'm keeping them close
on my mind because it's so close to home and my family could come see me play.
They also have my teammate, Herbert Moore, going there next year. Those two things
have kept them in the picture for me."
Anybody else staying in contact with Marcus?
"MSU stays in phone contact. They're losing a couple of their linebackers
next year. They also have one of my former teammates there in Will Redmond."
Where will Robinson trip next?
"I'm either going to the Arkansas-Tulsa game or the LSU-Alabama game.
I haven't decided yet."
