After waiting patiently for one to come, Chicago Hales Franciscan defensive end Jordan Watson, as he put it, "finally" picked up his first offer.
"Jordan just got his first offer from Florida Atlantic," his head coach Randall Townsel reported.
The 6'5, 250-lb Watson had a big year for Townsel, recording 15 sacks. His highlight tape just hit the airwaves, and Townsel expects more offers to come through.
"It's about to go pretty quick. He's been to Purdue a couple times and is going back this weekend. I expect them to do something. Illinois is talking to him, as is Southern Illinois and Central Michigan. It's picking up steam real quick for him."
In addition to his size, speed (4.68 forty) and ability on the football field, Townsel says the school who lands Watson will be getting a true student-athlete.
"He got a 23 on the ACT. He's a great kid."
Watson made 1st team All-State and 1st team All-Catholic League. He also recorded 61 tackles, 30 for loss, and served as the team's kicker.
