2014 Intro: Will Richardson
Will Richardson is a prospect whose stock is on the rise. The 2014 offensive tackle already has multiple scholarship offers. "Everything has been going pretty good," said Richardson. "I have offers from Indiana, Ohio, East Carolina, and Virginia." Those are not the only schools interested in the 6-foot-6, 298-pound offensive lineman. " I've been getting mail from all over -- Auburn, Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Duke, Virginia Tech, Maryland, Clemson, Florida State, and Ohio State," he said. "Clemson, Virginia Tech, Tennessee, and Ohio State are the schools sending me the most." " I've also been talking to the coaches at UVA, Duke, Maryland, and UNC a lot." Richardson has made trips to North Carolina, Indiana, and Ohio this year. He will visit another school this weekend. "I'm going to Duke for their game this Saturday," Richardson said. "I have talked to them and they really like me. My coach said they should be offering soon." Besides Duke, Richardson also wants to check out other schools., "I want to visit Clemson and Virginia Tech," he said. "Next summer, I want to go to camps at Ohio State, N.C. State, UNC, Virginia Tech, UVA, and maybe Florida State." Richardson is originally from for Virginia and said he has always been a fan of a school from his home state. "I like Virginia Tech -- that's always been my No. 1 school," he said. "I haven't gotten an offer from them yet, but they do send me a lot of mail. I'm still wide open to all schools, though." Football will not be the only thing Richardson is looking for at the next level. "My mom is really big on academics, so I want to go to the best academic school that I can get into," he said. "I have a 3.9 GPA and should have over a 4.0 by the end of the year." "As far as a football program, I want to go to a school where the coaches really get along with the players. Even if we can't compete for a national championship, I want to go to a school where the team plays together and has good team chemistry." The offensive linemen has a tentative timetable for narrowing his list of possible schools. "I want to have at least a top five by sometime next summer," he said. "Then from there, I want to narrow it down to three by the time my senior year starts."
