Reuben Foster (6'1/240) is the nation's No. 1 linebacker prospect. He
transferred to Auburn High School in Alabama from Troup County High School in
Georgia before the season started, and he helped his team to an 11-1 record
before falling to Opelika in the playoffs last week.
Foster lines up at middle linebacker and tailback for his Auburn team. He is
absurdly strong and light on his feet for a player of his size. He has
outstanding balance and body lean. His center of gravity makes it so that he
runs low and in perfect position to make a tackle. He has a quick burst that
allows him to delay blitz or cover out of the backfield.
Foster has been committed to Auburn for months but recently went to Athens, Ga.
to visit the University of Georgia (update
here).
Foster's season ended on Friday night in a loss to Opelika, but it wasn't for a
lack of effort, punishing runs, or punishing tackles on Foster's part. When
Foster is on the field, it's truly a case of a man amongst boys.
Here is a look at him in action from his last high school game.
