Koa Kaleopaa is a massive linebacker who could end up putting his hand down in college. He finished the year with 45 tackles and five sacks and is one of the most physical players in the area.
Kaleopaa has had a top three of Arkansas, California and Colorado for the past few months. Each school is looking for a new head coach but one of those programs could still get a commitment from the athlete as soon as next week.
"He has an in home visit with Cal next week," La Mirada coach Mike Moschetti said. "Marcus Arroyo from Cal came to the school last week and all of our guys really like him a lot. I think Koa is ready to make his decision, he feels really good about Cal and he'll more than likely commit on the in-home visit.
"He's in a tough spot right now with all the schools looking for coaches, it's why I told him he should have committed in the summer. Cal still likes him and wants him and that's a good spot so I think that will happen next week."
