is fresh off a strong senior season, in which he threw for 1,516 yards, 16 touchdowns, and just six interceptions. Now he's focused on the recruiting process.
"I'm set to visit Marshall and Clemson in January," Jones said. "I'm not sure of the exact dates but they're both within the second week."
Jones, 6-foot-3 and 205 pounds, talked more about his interest in those two schools.
"Marshall, I feel like the offense fits me. The coaching staff is recruiting me hard too, and there are a few guys up there that I have a connection with. The same with Clemson, too."
Jones, who was an unofficial visitor for Florida State's game against Florida last weekend, said he remains in contact with a few other schools as well but no visits have been set up.
"I've been talking to FAU, UF, BC, and Utah State," he said.
The talented quarterback prospect talked about what he'll be looking for in a school.
"The environment around me, how high (academically) is the school in what I want to major in," he said. "Also, what are the percent of student-athletes, and also the dept chart of quarterbacks."
