Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) cornerback Armond Hawkins (5-10, 170), got his second offer last week, from Idaho, and now Hawkins has two, from the Vandals and Eastern Michigan.
“The new coaches offered me and they’re going to be coming by the school this week,” said Hawkins. “By the end of the week, I’ll be scheduling my visit to Idaho.”
Eastern Michigan has already been by the Hawkins home as well.
“I like Coach (Ron) English (at EMU), and he talked about how he can make me better,” said Hawkins. “I’ll be scheduling them for a visit too.”
Hawkins is hoping to take his official visits in January, and a few more schools are also showing interest.
“Hawaii has been talking with me and so has Nevada and Oregon State,” said Hawkins. “I want to take all of my visits in January. I don’t want to go to a place that I haven’t visited.”
Before Hawkins takes his trips, he’ll be playing in the CalState Game on December 22nd in Visalia.
“I’ll be playing with our two linebackers, Alani Latu and Viliami Latu, and my brother Chris (Hawkins, a USC commit),” said Hawkins. “That will be a lot of fun and a big honor.”
Academically, Hawkins has a 3.3 GPA.
