We take an early look at 2015 lineman George Brown out of Cincinnati (OH) Colerain High School…
Ohio Sophomore Has Two Visitors
Cincinnati Colerain sophomore lineman George Brown is an impressive looking prospect for the 2015 class in Ohio. The 6-foot-6, 245-pound, athlete played tight end last year, but could eventually project to a defensive end or offensive tackle at the next level. Brown took a few unofficial visits last fall, and has already hit the recruiting radar of several BCS programs. This week, two of them were at Colerain to check in on him. "Miami of Florida and Michigan State were in the school to see me Tuesday, and that's exciting," Brown stated. "Miami told my coach they watched my tape, and they want me to come to their camp next summer. They told my coach if I come down to the camp and do well, that I should have an offer." "I'm very interested in Miami, and I believe I will be going to their camp next summer when we take a tour of different camps," he added. "Michigan State basically said the same thing, and my dad is good friends with (assistant coach) Harlon Barnett. I'm considering going to camp there next summer also." There could be a position switch coming for Brown, and he will be playing defensive end next season as a junior, after playing tight end this past season. "I'm moving to defensive end, and I love that because I love hitting people," he explained. "I'm planning on playing both ways, but I have to see how that goes. I've been working hard in the weight room, lifting every day after school, and I've gotten stronger." "I want to weight around 255-260 pounds next season," Brown said. "I want to continue to get stronger and quicker, and be an impact player next year." This past season, Brown took unofficial visits to Ohio State and Michigan State. His older brother, Aaron, played offensive tackle for Virginia Tech.
