Reuben Picks William & Mary
A few weeks ago, Landstown star Keanu Reuben' committed to William & Mary. Reuben is happy with his decision. "I picked William & Mary because of the tradition they have as a school in general – the athletics and especially the academics," Reuben said. "I love it there. I got along with everyone on my visit. I just feel like it's the best school for me." The Tribe's coaching staff also played a big role in his decision. "The coaches there are just like my high school coaches," said the 6-foot-2, 185-pound Reuben. "The way they treat the athletes is phenomenal. All the coaches are great coaches." "Coach (Jimmye) Laycock (William & Mary head coach) came to my house and sat down with me and talked about the school. He told me it wouldn't be easy at William & Mary, but that you will get a lot out of going to school there." "Then when I visited, he told me how happy he was that I was coming to school there." While on the visit, Reuben enjoyed meeting the current players. "My favorite part of the visit was getting to hang out with the players and meet all of them," he said. "They were telling me how it was a great school and the education you were going to get there is one you pretty much can't find anywhere else." "They also said that I would love playing football there and that they would be there for me." Although he is happy with his decision, Reuben said he will still visit other schools. "I'm probably going to take some more visits later on," said Reuben, who will play free safety for the Tribe. "I'm not sure which other schools I'll visit yet, though." Although he will visit other schools, do not expect him to change his mind. "I'm 100 percent committed to William & Mary," he said. Reuben finished the season with 40 tackles and six interceptions on defense. On offense, he had 900 all-purpose yards. He was also a second-team All-Beach selection at defensive back. At the time of his commitment, he also had scholarship offers from James Madison, East Carolina, Richmond, and Hampton.
