TE 'pumped' for Title Game
Mike Heuerman has been committed to Notre Dame for several months now, and he's excited to watch the Irish play for a national championship next month. "I'm so pumped to watch Notre Dame in the National Championship. I think it's a good thing that people are doubting our chances. It's a little extra motivator to shock the world and hold up that crystal ball," Heuerman said. At 6-foot-4 and 225 pounds, Heuerman is going to get a head start on the competition by enrolling early in school. He talked about that. "It's not really about me going in and playing right away. I'm going early to ND this spring and I just want to compete for a chance to play and be on the field. Obviously I'm young so I just can't wait to be on the field and help the team anyway possible." Heuerman says he's developed a good relationship with his main recruiter in the area. "I talk to Coach Alford, we have an amazing relationship. We talk pretty much on a daily basis, it's a great recruiting relationship as well as a personal just player to coach relationship." The talented tight end prospect visited Notre Dame back in September, and has never wavered by strongly considering any other schools. His recruiting process is finished, and he talked about that. "Other schools have kind of backed off since I committed to Notre Dame. I'm 100 percent committed."
