In the heart of his final season of high school basketball, Notre Dame offensive line pledge Hunter…
Bivin Used Under Armour To Get Better
Notre Dame commit Hunter Bivin was one of the Notre Dame commits that stood out last week in Orlando for the Under Armour All-America game. Bivin, 6-foot-7, 287-pounds, used his time in Orlando to prepare himself for his time at the next level with the Fighting Irish. "I consider it an honor to be at the Under Armour game, and it's been fun seeing how my skills stack up against the best from around the country," Bivin stated. "It's a great measuring stick of how ready you are for college football. I think I did well and they moved me to center from tackle, but I believe I did really well." With the versatility to play anywhere on the offensive line, Bivin's value is increased tremendously. "Notre Dame hasn't specified what position I will be playing, but I'm planning on learning all five positions, so I will be ready to play wherever they need me," he explained. "I play basketball and throw the shot and discus in track, so I've still got a lot left to accomplish before I get to Notre Dame." Bivin was pursued by several top programs, but ended his recruitment last March by selecting Notre Dame. "Notre Dame is the school I rooted for since I was a kid and watched "Rudy," he admitted. "The world class education means everything to me, and I looked at this as a forty year decision, not a four year decision." "Coach (Harry) Heistand is the best offensive line coach in the business and I think the world of him," he continued. "Notre Dame is just the best place for me to become the best player, and the best person I can be, without question."
