New Western Michigan head coach P.J. Fleck picked up a big verbal this morning when former Eastern Michigan commit Josh Bass decided to become a Bronco.
"I wanted to let you know I changed my commitment to Western Michigan," he said.
A 6'5, 285-lb senior who can play several spots on the line, Bass says there were a couple of factors in his decision.
"I loved Coach Fleck and all of the staff and just felt like home for me! The love I got this weekend helped me realize where my home is. I still love EMU but with Western being so close and the coaching staff, it made it hard for me to not pick them."
The academic side of things was also a key to Bass when making his choice.
"I loved the facilities and the campus was beautiful. Most importantly, I picked them because I feel I could get a better education there because football will end one day whether it's in five years or 20 and I want to be able to support my family without the game of football with a good degree."
Bass was an All-State selection as a senior. He is currently rated as a three-star prospect.
