Ragin Recaps Cal
Wilsonville (Ore.) outside linebacker and BYU commit Johnny Ragin headed down to Berkeley this weekend to take a hard look at California. "It was a great trip, I had a nice visit," said Ragin. "Antione Davis and Avery Sebastian were my hosts; I had a really good time with the other recruits." "We went out to dinner at a nice place on Pier 41 the first night I was there," said Ragin. "We went bowling and saw the facilities. We also went to basketball game, Cal against Washington State." So what was the highlight of the trip? "The facilities are awesome," said Ragin. "The coaches have a great plan for this season, I see things coming together." Even with the recent coaching change, Ragin feels a close bond with the staff. "Well coach Barry Sacks coached at Nevada and had been recruiting me for a while over there," said Ragin. "Coach Sacks and the linebacker coach (Andy) Buh are really close, so we all sat down together and talked. I talked with coach Dykes too. We were both happy to learn more about each other." So where does Cal rank, specifically compared to BYU, after this visit? "I am going to have to talk to my mom about that before I say anything," said Ragin. "I am just taking everything as it comes," said Ragin. "I am going to lay out all my options and talk it over with my mom. Just trying to enjoy the moment, I am looking forward to my other visits."
