Daniel Hosts Visitors

Elijah Daniel never expected to be on the open market this late in the recruiting process. With just over three weeks left, Daniel reports that he is still not quite ready to make the call. College coaches are still seeking an audience with the four star defensive end, which has made things a little complicated at times.

"With all of these coaches coming to see me, it makes everything a little harder to be honest," said Daniel. "They all want you to come to their school and they make it all sound good."

Over the course of the past twenty four hours, Daniel has hosted coaches from two different programs.

"Arizona State came today," said Daniel. "Coach (Paul) Randolph came.

"He is the defensive line coach and the defensive coordinator and we have a pretty good relationship.

"Last night Mississippi State came to see me."

Mississippi State head coach, Dan Mullen, was part of the Bulldogs' travelling party.

"Coach Mullen, Coach (David) Turner, Coach (Tim) Brewster and the defensive coordinator Coach (Geoff) Collins all came," explained Daniel. "They were telling me how important I was to them and how they really want me to come there.

"I know Coach Turner is down there now and he was recruiting me when he was at Kentucky, so I already knew him."

Daniel has taken official visits to Marshall, Mississippi State and Ole Miss.

As things stand now, the talented pass rusher is ready to fill out the rest of his dance card.

"I am probably going to Arizona State this weekend and Florida the last weekend," said Daniel. "I know I am getting close to a decision, but I really don't know when I am going to make a decision.

"Everybody wants me to stay in touch with them and take my visits."

Daniel reports that he remains open, but he plans to commit to one of the schools he officially visits.

"I don't have a leader, but I am going to pick one of the schools I visit," said Daniel. "It's pretty much down to the those five schools.

"I don't really know when I am going to make my decision, but I just want it to feel right.

"I think I will know when the time is right. I am just not ready to do anything yet."
