Though Amarillo (Tex.) Tascosa defensive back Tion Wright just wrapped his senior football season, he was out at the Proving Ground Combine in Southern California to get some added exposure.
"I've been getting some attention; I was talking to Northwestern and was hearing from Texas Tech. I've talked to some Division-II programs, but I may go Junior College. That's why I'm here, to get some more attention," he said.
The 5-foot-9, 160-pound prospect says he improved immensely over the past season and is hoping to prove himself to a college coach.
"I got more picks this year and I'm a lot better and faster in coming out of my breaks. I feel pretty good; I think I got a lot better. My biggest strengths at my position are my recovery speed. I'm also a kickoff returner and I think I have great vision. I'm physical, too," he said.
Wright has released his senior highlights and remains optimistic about his football future, hoping his video speaks for itself.
"I hope coaches see that I can help out a team in any way. I have a lot of talent and skill, and I just want to do whatever I can to help out the team and get a win," he said.
