Four-star WR Devon Allen pledges to Oregon after receiving long awaited football offer
It only took a few days after receiving an offer from
Oregon
for four-star WR
Devon Allen
to commit.
Allen confirmed the pledge to the Ducks with several sources from FoxSportsNext on Friday afternoon.
Allen was rumored to have
UCLA
as the front-runner for months. Several times he named a top five and Oregon did not make the cut. That likely being because the Ducks had only offered a track scholarship.
The Phoenix (Az.) Brophy product also tripped to
Stanford
,
Florida State
, UCLA and was expected to visit
Arkansas
the weekend of Feb. 1st.
Allen is nationally ranked in both hurdle events, breaking the all-time Arizona record in the 110 and 300 meter hurdles. But the Ducks are getting a big time prospect, not just a track guy playing football.
