Adams Will be Big Time
Fletcher Adams profile "I'm the youngest," said Adams with a slight grin. "It feels good to be from this sort of family. "You know all three of us are athletic and we get things done. "I learned a lot from my brothers. They have always told me to come out and work hard everyday. "You just have to go hard in everything you do to get where you want to go." Adams has always been on the bigger side of the size scale most of his life, but during his sophomore year the talented defensive tackle matured as a football technician. "I worked a lot on my footwork and using my hands more," said Adams. "I really did my best to come off the ball hard every play. "This spring I am going to work even harder. I want to get even better with my hands and all of my technique." Brandon likes to play a three man front, so Adams is having to contend with double teams on most snaps. "You have to be hard to take on those double teams," smiled Adams. "You just have to come off the ball hard and stay low. "We have a strong defensive line, so they help me out there. "We know we have the chance to have another big season this year, so we are all working hard to be even better than we were last year." Alabama and Mississippi State have already shown some early interest in Adams who is the state's top defensive player for the class of 2015. "I went to Mississippi State for their camp this past year and that went pretty well," said Adams. "My brother (Nelson) told me that college football is hard. "He said if you don't come in with the right mindset, you're not going to make it. "I am just working hard to get ready for when my time comes."
