The latest: Wilson maintains that Oregon is No. 1 in his mind despite the departure of Chip Kelly for the NFL. He is classified as a soft verbal because he visited Ohio State last weekend and is visiting Oklahoma State still before Signing Day.
In his words: "(Kelly possibly leaving) has no affect on me at all, and Oregon has talked to me about that. They told me no matter what happens, coach (Mark) Helfrich will still be running the offense. Everything is still going to be run the same, which means everything to me." -- Jan. 6

Commitment: Ohio State (soft verbal)
The latest: Indications are that Elliott is a solid Buckeyes commit, though a visit to Missouri last weekend may have made things interesting in the push to Signing Day.
In his words: "The offense was just a great fit for me. (I just liked) the players there and the attitude of the team. ... Ohio, they love Ohio State football. The atmosphere is crazy." -- Jan. 1

The latest: Formerly an Alabama commit, Walker flipped to the Seminoles on Jan. 7, just hours after the Crimson Tide won the national title. It appears he's solid with the decision.

The latest: A two-sport athlete, Griffin is committed to Texas A&M but paid a visit to Auburn last weekend. He says he intends to play basketball as well in college.
In his words: "It was a good year (for Texas A&M). They had a a couple of really good games. It was exciting. All of the games were exciting to watch because you did not know what Johnny Manziel was going to do." -- Jan. 2
