Ranking: (No. 6 overall RB)
The latest: Davis, a Northern California product, has enrolled early at USC and will be a Trojan come Signing Day.
In his words: "We're the class that's going to get in there and hopefully change a lot of stuff. Get USC back to those glory days." -- Jan. 4

Commitment: Ohio State
The latest: Mitchell declared for the Buckeyes during the U.S. Army All-American Bowl and is expected to put his name to paper come Signing Day.
In his words: "They have a great coaching staff. They went 12-0 this season. They have the team on the right track. I just felt really good about my official visit there. ... They were one of the first schools on me and they were with me from the beginning." -- Jan. 5

No. 27 -- Patrick Kugler, OG
Ranking: (No. 1 overall OG)
The latest: A Wolverines commit since February, Kugler has every intention of ending up in Ann Arbor.
In his words: "Michigan has told me I'm going to play center, and they told me to start learning to snap a few weeks ago. It worked out great that I was needed to do that here, and it gives me a head start on what I'll be doing at Michigan." -- Jan. 11

No. 26 -- Kendall Fuller, CB
Ranking: (No. 3 overall CB)
Commitment: Virginia Tech
The latest: Fuller picked Virginia Tech in July and said at the time that he waited until he was 100 percent sure to decide.
In his words: "(I'm most excited about) coming in there with the class that we have, being a class known (for) turning Virginia Tech around, and just bringing some more intensity, some more depth, some more fire to the defensive backs." -- Jan. 4

The latest: As we dip into the top 25, we encounter our first uncommitted prospect in this crop of 10. Bell's race seems like one of the toughest to call, with all three of his finalists impressing him.
In his words: "I want to give each school a chance, give them the respect they deserve for recruiting me, and get my family out there with me to see how they feel at each school." -- Jan. 3

Commitment: Mississippi State
Interested in: Mississippi State, Ole Miss
The latest: Jones has been a Mississippi State commit since June but said just this week that he is now also considering Ole Miss, according to a report. This one could go down to the wire.
In his words: "It gets kind of stressful at times, but you just have to learn how to handle it. I just try to take things one day at a time and just do what I am supposed to do." -- Jan. 20

No. 23 -- Robert Foster, WR
Ranking: (No. 4 overall WR)
The latest: Foster picked the Crimson Tide over hometown Pitt in December in what was considered a surprise and has maintained an allegiance to Alabama.
In his words: "It was the relationship with the teammates and the coaches (that led me to pick Alabama). Amari Cooper told me he never thought he would have the opportunity to start, but he also told me that for the opportunity I have to work. That's one thing I like to do, I like to work for the opportunity -- I don't like things handed to me."

Ranking: (No. 5 overall RB)
The latest: The prized commit in the Oklahoma class, Ford pledged to the Sooners back in March and doesn't figure to sway.
In his words: "All I can say is that I'm going to Oklahoma to compete. My goal is to be the starting tailback from the first day I get to Oklahoma, and that should be every player's goal." -- Jan. 6

The latest: The U.S. Army All-American Bowl MVP chose the hometown Cardinals during the broadcast of that game and shows no signs of wavering.
In his words: "It was a real tough decision ... It was ultimately just staying home and getting the University of Louisville back to where they need to be." -- Jan. 5
