Trinity Stars walking on at WKU
Two of Trinity's top defensive prospects, Daeshawn Bertram and Jabari Jordan, are both planning to walk-on at Western Kentucky. The duo has been given the opportunity to be preferred walk-ons by Head Coach Bobby Petrino. "I'm going to Western Kentucky as a preferred walk-on," Jordan told Scout.com. "I like (WKU). They are trying to build a good program and I'm going there to help finish building the program so we can win championships," Jordan said. The 5-foot-11, 270-pound Jordan was one of the top defensive linemen in Jefferson County this year. His Trinity High teammate, DaeShawn Bertram (5-11, 240-pounds), was also one of the best linebackers in Jefferson County and will join him in Bowling Green. "I'm walking on (Western Kentucky)," said Bertram. "I got my school paid off. Thank God for good grades, so my education is fee." Bertram also believes that Petrino is going to do big things with the Hilltoppers. "(Petrino's) a great coach. I think they are on the rise," Bertram said.
