Yeargin with double-digit offers
Richard Yeargin III has offers from Tennessee, UCLA, Clemson, West Virginia, Rutgers, Wisconsin, Purdue, Wake Forest, South Florida, Georgia Tech, and more. The 6-foot-4, 225-pound linebacker said it's an exciting time for him now. "I'm up to double digits now, I'm feeling pretty good. I look forward to stacking more. I'm working on getting bigger, putting on some weight," he said. "I don't think I'm going to go to any junior days as of right now. I'm just trying to get settled into my new school and focus on what I'm doing." Yeargin's focus this spring is on improving his game and gelling with his new teammates, but he plans see plenty of schools this summer. "(I plan on attending) a lot of summer camps and doing a lot of traveling over the summer," he said. "I don't want to single anybody out, but I would love to go out to California, see UCLA, travel to see Tennessee, see LSU, schools like that. I just want to get out there a little bit and see what else is out there." The 2014 standout finished his junior season with 13 sacks, 60 tackles (21 for loss) and three forced fumbles. He felt great about his season but continues to strive for growth. "I feel like I can always get better, I never settle for what I do on the field. This is my first year being out there and getting a lot of good playing time. I'm really grateful for that and I don't want to stop I want to compete and get better," he said. "I'm working on staying low, techniques, and just the basic fundamentals of football. I've got the speed, I have the strength, I just need to become more of a student of the game."
