A number of underclassmen caught Scout's attention in Valdosta, Ga. on Sunday at the MVP Camp, but seven showed enough for use to predict they will become top prospects in the coming years.

Many prospects attended their first camp on Sunday in Valdosta, Ga. and some of the top prospects in the entire camp were only freshmen.

A number of prospects did well, but seven prospects in the 2015 and 2016 classes really stood out to Scout and we break them down here:

Chris Barnes | 2016 OT | 6-4/264 | Lee County (Ga.)
Barnes needs to continue to add strength and improve on his hands, but he has good feet, he showed a good base, and he has good length. He is only a freshman and he has a lot of potential. He is one to really keep an eye on.

Logan Byrd | 2016 QB | 6-3/223 | Veterans (Ga.)
The quarterback group was the best at this camp and Byrd was one of the top five or six out of close to 30 at his position. He has great size, he releases the ball high, he throws with an easy motion, and he showed all the tools that will grab him early interest in recruiting.

D'Andre Gardenhire-Washington | 2016 DE | 6-4/192 | Camden County (Ga.)
This young man kind of stole the show during the 1on1s Sunday afternoon. He fires off the ball, he has that quick twitch, and he has great length. He has that long and wiry frame and he will be one to watch as he develops into a rush end or outside linebacker. He was named Top Underclassman at this event.

Shaquille Quarterman | 2016 MLB | 6-2/242 | Oakleaf (Fla.)
The one that challenged Gardenhire-Washington for the Top Underclassmen on Sunday was Quarterman. He is thick linebacker that moved well in space and showed ability to run sideline to sideline. He stood out afternoon in the drills and in the 1on1s. He is a true inside linebacker.

Traveon Samuel | 2015 RB | 5-8/181 | Central (Ala.)
It is difficult for any linebacker in a camp setting to cover those scat-backs, but with Samuel, it is almost impossible. He is lightning quick, he cuts on a dime, he is tough to touch in space, and he has really good hands out of the backfield. He claims a number of offers including Auburn and Tennessee.

Quintin Sanders | 2016 DT | 6-3/261 | Mitchell County (Ga.)
Sanders was a freshman that got selected to compete in the Showcase where the best battle the best at the end. The defensive line was a strong group and Sanders was one of the best. He is only a freshman, but he is great strength and he really did a nice job controlling his man in the 1on1s.

Trenton Thompson | 2015 DT | 6-4/280 | Westover (Ga.)
Thompson was not able to complete the camp the way he wanted to due to a sore shoulder, but early on, he showed a lot of what he is all about. He looks like a million dollars physically and he is very athletic. He is a very raw defensive lineman and he has a lot to work on, but his ceiling is extremely high. He moves fluidly, he has very big hands, long arms, and he has great natural strength. He was recently offered by Georgia and he will add many more.
