Cason updates recruitment
Clarkston (Mich.) safety Tim Cason has offers from Toledo and Bowling Green, and he's generating interest from Ball State, Indiana, Michigan State, Michigan, Western Michigan, and Purdue. Cason recently competed at the Best of the Midwest combine in Indianapolis. "There was great competition here," Cason said. "I just really wanted to play physical. I'm here to prove to coaches that I can be a No. 1 player." Cason says of his two offers, Toledo has the edge. "I'm looking for a school with a great engineering program," Cason said. "Toledo has a great engineering program, and Bowling Green doesn't as much, so that gives me an idea of which offer I like best right now. I also will look at my chances of playing right away." The 6-foot-2, 175-pound defensive back pointed out the strong suits of his game, as well as the areas he needs to improve. "I like being really physical," Cason said. "I have great hips, and I recover well. That's my game right there. I want to improve my footwork, technique, and the small details." Cason is planning to visit Ball State this spring.
