Name: Michael Brooks
School: Brandon (Miss)
Position: DE

Stats: 131 tackles and 10 sacks
Class: 2014

Mississippi
Scout.com Ranking: NR
Scout.com live evaluation: Brooks was the most active defensive
lineman for a talented Brandon Bulldog defense against South Panola in the state
championship game. Brooks weighs in at 205 pounds right now but he has the length
to put on plenty of good weight in a college weight program. He is quick off
of the ball which allows him to get around the offensive tackles and has a motor
which makes him into a sideline-to-sideline player. That is evident by his 131
tackles and 10 sacks last season.
The biggest question is his size and where it leaves him on the next
level. Does he have the speed to play linebacker if he does not add the needed
weight it takes to play on the next level at defensive end, or will he add the
strength and size to stay at defensive end? My guess is the latter.
