A look at the top underclass performers during the SoCal Nike Football Training Camp over the weekend.

QB Josh Rosen, Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco
Rosen looked good in Las Vegas two weeks ago and continued his sound play on Sunday. Physically, Rosen looks great and has added almost 20 pounds since last spring. He threw a very nice ball, with plenty of zip, can spin it consistently and has all the makings of an elite recruit in two years.

RB Jeremy Calhoun, Long Beach Poly (Calif.)
Calhoun will carry the load for Poly this year and looks very capable. He showed a nice combination of size, speed and burst and has a very solid frame. He can run between the tackles or bounce it outside and looks like a very complete back.

WR Christian Kirk, Scottsdale (Ariz.) Saguaro

WR Trent Irwin, Newhall (Calif.) Hart
Irwin has put on almost 15 pounds since last spring but still shows the ability run such precise routes and get open. He’s very polished, clean is probably the best way to describe his route running and no one has better hands.

OL Reno Rosene, Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian
Rosene is a huge tackle prospect and looks all of 6-6 and 325 pounds. He needs to keep getting stronger and work on his overall athleticism, but all the tools are in place for Rosene to be a national recruit in two years. He didn’t lose a rep during one on ones and won them in dominant fashion.

OL Fred Ulu-Perry, Honolulu (Hawaii) St. Louis
Massive guard prospect looked great in pass protection and doesn’t just rely on his size and strength but plays with great technique. He’s only about 6-1, so teams may look at him as a center but he can definitely play at the high major Div I level.

TE Alize Jones, Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman
Jones just oozes upside and has freakish athletic ability. He ran a 4.75-40, 4.06 shuttle and jumped 34’ in the vertical at 6-4, 215 pounds. He was a little raw in his route running and still needs some work but in terms of what you’re looking for in a young prospect, Jones’ potential and upside is off the charts.

DL Rasheem Green, Gardena (Calif.) Serra
If you had an NFL style draft, Green might have been the first player taken. He measured in at a rock solid 6-5, 270 pounds and shocked people when they heard he was just a sophomore. Green will play on both sides of the ball for Serra but worked out with the defensive ends and physically overpowered every lineman he faced.

LB Cameron Smith, Granite Bay (Calif.)
Smith is a load at 6-2, 230 pounds but carries his weight very well. He’s a prototype inside ‘backer who earned all-state underclass honors last season after totaling 196 tackles and four interceptions. Smith can play the pass or the run and projects very well in college.

DB Marvel Tell, Encino (Calif.) Crespi
At 6-1, 175 pounds, Tell is rangy and covers a lot of ground in the secondary. He’s a superior athlete and with that frame and natural athleticism, his upside is very high. He ran a 4.66-40 and jumped 37 inches in the vertical and could end up as a big corner down the line.

DB Iman Marshall, Long Beach Poly (Calif.)
Marshall has so much upside it’s scary and whether he stays at corner or safety, he’ll be a difference maker at either spot. He measured in at 6-1, 190 pounds and physically looks like a safety but has great cover skills. He’s tough, physical and is a great competitor who never takes a play off.

Other Underclassmen Who Shined:
QB Brady White, Newhall (Calif.) Hart
WR Equinameous St. Brown, Anaheim (Calif.) Servite
WR Desean Holmes, Mission Hills (Calif.) Alemany
TE Trevor Howard, Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian
LB Matt Locher, Los Alamitos (Calif.)
DB-WR Stanley Norman, Culver City (Calif.)
