Blair Set To Visit Cardinals
Desean Blair (Jacksonville, Fla./Sandalwood) is a big wide receiver from Jacksonville. He's 6-foot-4 and 185-pounds. "Right now I am running track (200 and 400 meters)," Blair said. "I am mainly doing it to work on my speed. At the same time, as a receiver I know I have to bulk up and get stronger. I am finding out that's hard to do when you are running track. It's hard to get bigger when you are running." Still, Blair's a very talented player at the wideout position. "I can catch the football. I can go up and get it and I am good in the air," Blair said. "I have pretty good speed. If I get a couple of steps I am out of there. I have those long strides." According to Blair he has scholarship offers from Louisville, Vanderbilt, Iowa State, Temple (first) and Maryland. "I am going to visit Louisville next weekend," Blair said. "I would also like to see Georgia. They are recruiting me. So are schools like FSU, Boston College, Kentucky, Duke and Mississippi State." One of his teammates, defensive end Blake McClain has already committed to FSU while linebacker Kain Daub could also be heading there as well. "They are working me," Blair said. "I just need an offer. They are always talking to me in the hallways saying ‘ you're next'. But I don't have a [FSU] offer yet."
