Morgan Hill (Calif.) Live Oak athlete Trevor Bearden (6-1, 208), has been one of the top players in his region the past few seasons.
While Bearden is still waiting for his first offer, a number of schools have been in contact with him.
“I started talking a lot to Boise State and I talk to Coach (Terry) Malley at San Jose State all the time,” said Bearden. “I’ve also gotten letters from Oregon, Alabama, Colorado and UCLA. Coach (Jeff) Ulbrich from UCLA came to one of our practices and he went to our high school.”
Bearden can play on either side of the ball at the next level and said he’s being recruited as an athlete.
“I’ll probably end up as a receiver in college, but I’m getting recruited as an athlete,” said Bearden. “I feel like I probably won’t end up being a running back in college. If I played defense, I could play safety. I’ve got the speed to.”
This summer, Bearden plans to camp at a number of Pac-12 schools and will also camp at San Jose State.
