The 6-foot-5, 228-pound standout from Tuscaloosa (Ala.) Academy can pair it with his recent offer from Southern Miss. Unlike the conference foe, the junior has yet to visit Memphis.
"I have not really had a chance to visit there but Coach [Holman] Wiggins is the only coach I've talked to and he is really cool," Brown said of the Tigers.
Where there is one, more are likely to follow for the versatile prospect, who is being looked at as both a tight end and as a linebacker depending on the school.
"USM is for linebacker and I still have to talk to the Memphis coach, so I don't know what that's for yet," he said.
Is there a preference?
"Probably Linebacker but it doesn't matter to me," he maintains.
Brown has already taken in several college campuses of late, including Alabama, Mississippi State, Georgia Tech, and Southern Miss, but a return trip to one SEC school may be the road to the next offer on his growing list.
"I plan on visiting either Mississippi State or Middle Tennessee State on the 20th of April." the class of 2014 prospect mentioned. "I'm thinking Mississippi State may be the next offer."
Even if the Bulldogs were the first SEC extension for the junior, there is no rush to a commitment for the athlete - who also excels on the hardwood.
Said Brown, "I'm not going to decide until after my senior basketball season. I'm working for more offers."
