Elk Grove (Calif.) Pleasant Grove cornerback Brandon Lewis (5-11, 170), was offered by Boise State last month, when he was in town for their Junior Day.
On Saturday, five weeks to the day he was offered by the Broncos, Lewis gave them their second verbal this week, committing to head coach Chris Petersen and secondary coach Jimmy Lake.
"I called Coach Pete and Coach Lake and they were both super excited," said Lewis.
Lewis had been leaning to making a commitment to Boise State for some time.
"It was a decision I was ready to make for a while now," said Lewis. "They program is one of the greatest in the country. The coaching staff can't be beat and the culture there is something I want to be a part of."
Their continued success year in and year out under Petersen also made an impression.
"They have done nothing but win in the past decade, so going there, you know you will succeed not only on but off the field as well," said Lewis. "At Boise State, they care as much about the person as they do the player and develop both."
Lewis said there wasn't a better match for him.
"It is the perfect fit for me and I'm excited to be a Bronco," said Lewis.
Lewis joins Gardena (Calif.) Serra quarterback Jalen Greene in committing to the Broncos this week.
He'll also follow his Pleasant Grove teammate Nick Terry, who signed with Boise State in February.
